Familiar handheld controller that is tethered to the machine by an articulated arm. With its larger, tactile, sealed keypad, this controller is ideal for operators who use gloves to load and unload specimens and prefer a push-button keypad. The controller can be used for basic operation of the tester and can initiate a test, but must be used with Horizon software.

Two models of this tethered controller are available: one designed for the operation with ST series testers, and one designed for operation with SL series testers.

Wireless handheld interface that is connected to the machine by a Bluetooth link.

This interface can be used on both the ST and SL series of testers. It features an Android-based operating platform and can be used to control the machine by itself or in conjunction with Tinius Olsen’s Horizon software.

Tinius Olsen offers a wide variety of tools and accessories for testing bolts, nuts and threaded fasteners in accordance with ASTM methods A194, A370, F606 and other applicable ASTM, SAE, IFI and Military specifications. The unique design of these tools eliminates the need for switching slotted bolt holders which can become heavy and cumbersome. They also eliminate the need to piggyback holders, i.e. attach a smaller slotted bolt holder to a larger one which is attached to the crosshead. This design can also help to reduce the need for increased tension test space which can be expensive and totally impractical.
